Denver defeated Dallas 142:136 tonight in a game without defense, Jokić marked the night with beautiful assists and a cosmic triple-double, but the show was stolen by Jamal Murray, who scored as many as 53 points!
True, most of those baskets came precisely after passes from the Serbian international, and Murray, who started explosively from the beginning, was supported by his teammates as well.
Murray shot an excellent 28-19, made 9 three-pointers out of 14 attempts, and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists on top of that. Hats off!
Jokić operated from the background but still reached unreal numbers again: 23 points (with a somewhat weaker shooting 19-8), 21 rebounds and 19 assists (!)
The returning Watson also stood out with 21 points, and all nine Nuggets players who stepped onto the court got on the scoresheet.
For the defeated Mavericks, the best was Fleg with 26 (8 ast, 7 reb), while Marshall with 22 and Washington with 19 (15 reb) were solid.
Denver remained in 4th place in the West with a record of 46-28, while Dallas said goodbye to the playoffs and sits in unlucky 13th place with a modest record of 21-52.
The Nuggets play their next game on Friday, again at home against an underdog, this time Utah.
