Ivana Španović, the Serbian athlete, broke the record of the Belgrade Indoor Meeting and did so in her very first triple jump.
In the opening series of this year’s edition of the competition, she jumped 14.19 meters in the triple jump.
Ivana Španović did not stop there, as she further improved the result in the third series, strengthening the record – 14.27.
The previous record holder was Eva Pepelnak, who jumped a distance of 13.33m in 2023.
It is also interesting that as many as three other competitors jumped that distance – Neja Filipič from Slovenia (13.61), Serbian hope Aleksandrija Mitrović with 13.60, while Maja Askag from Sweden reached a result of 13.45 meters.
After historical results in the long jump, Ivana Španović switched to the triple jump discipline, where she has also been recording great results lately.
This is one of the best Serbian female athletes ever, who is now writing new history for our sport at Banjica.
