A video released by Iranian media shows a U.S. airstrike targeting a building at a naval base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), next to an elementary school in Minab, where more than 160 girls were killed on February 28.
The footage, released by the semi-official Iranian news agency Mehr, shows missiles striking the area, which correspond to the U.S. BGM or UGM-109 Tomahawk land-attack missile, CNN reported today.
The video was recorded from a nearby construction site, and it shows the missiles before they hit a location inside the IRGC base.

Multiple media outlets are confirming what Iran's been saying: A U.S. Tomahawk missile hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls' elementary school in Minab.

A researcher at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, Sam Lair, told CNN that the missile in the video appears to be a U.S. “Tomahawk” land-attack missile, the same type that was used in the attack on Serbia in 1999.
“The geolocated video shows a cruise missile that struck one of the centrally located buildings in the base,” Lair said.
He added that, although the video does not show the moment of impact on the school, “it was likely part of the same attack and would have been accompanied by other similar cruise missiles.”

Last week, investigations by CNN and other media suggested that the United States was likely responsible for the attack, and satellite images, geolocated videos, public statements by U.S. officials, and assessments by munitions experts indicate that the school was hit at approximately the same time when a likely attack by U.S. forces on IRGC targets was carried out.
U.S. President Donald Trump yesterday blamed Iranian forces for the attack on the elementary school in southern Iran, in which at least 168 children and 14 teachers were killed.
“Based on what I saw, Iran did it,” Trump told reporters aboard the presidential plane.
He said that Iranian munitions are “very inaccurate.”
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that the United States is still investigating who carried out the attack, but stated that Iran is “the only side that targets civilians.”
U.S. military investigators believe it is possible that the U.S. military is responsible for the attack on the Iranian school on Saturday, in which more than 160 children were killed, but they have not yet reached a final conclusion nor completed the investigation, two U.S. officials previously told Reuters, Tanjug reported.
