Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that he spoke with Apple CEO Tim Cook, who expressed concerns about the financial penalties imposed by the European Union on the company.
In a podcast conversation with Patrick Bet-David, Trump mentioned that Cook told him the EU fined Apple $15 billion, with an additional penalty of $2 billion. Apple has not commented on the authenticity of that call.

European regulators have launched a series of investigations in recent years against major tech companies, aiming to curb their power and ensure fair conditions for smaller competitors. Trump reminded that Apple lost a legal battle with the EU last month, resulting in a commitment to pay €13 billion.
“Tim, first I have to win the election… But I won’t allow them to exploit our companies. That won’t happen,” Trump quoted his response to Cook during the 90-minute podcast.
The American elections will be held on November 5.
