Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Lu Dort publicly apologized to Nikola Jokic for a blow to the face last night.
In the key moments of the match between the Thunder and the Nuggets, with the hosts leading 123:116, the Serb set a screen while Dort was chasing Jamal Murray.
In that situation, the powerful Canadian inadvertently swung his arm and hit Jokic again, this time in the face.

The Serbian center fell to the floor, and the referees called another intentional foul against Dort.
Jokic scored a point from the foul, and then hit a three-pointer, reducing Denver’s deficit to just one possession.
However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hit a three-pointer with 3.3 seconds left for a big OKC victory.
“I got lost in the fight. But, afterward we shook hands, I told him he played great and I apologized to him for what happened,” Dort said after the game.
The Thunder basketball player explained the situation.
“I didn’t want to hit him in the face. But, when I go around screens, my hands fly everywhere. Unfortunately, I hit him. I didn’t think this was an intentional foul. Unnecessary means intentional, and I had no intention,” said the Canadian.
