The body of Jakov Jelkić, a 24-year-old Croatian footballer who disappeared on the night between January 31 and February 1 in the city of Alicante, Spain, was found on Monday afternoon in the waters of the city’s port, reports the news portal Informacion.
While the autopsy results are still pending, Spanish police believe this was an accidental incident with no third-party involvement.

Informacion states that his body was discovered at a depth of two meters near one of the docks in the port.
According to the website sosdesaparecidos.es, Jelkić is still officially listed as missing.
Informacion reports that the autopsy of Jelkić’s body is expected to be conducted on Tuesday, February 4.
The autopsy will be carried out at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Alicante.
