“I am a former president and a future president as soon as there is an opportunity to run again,” said Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD.
– I am not withdrawing, because that would mean admitting international interventionism and losing our party’s influence. My party wins elections, it will win these too, it will win the next ones – said Dodik.
We remind you that the Central Election Commission of BiH made a decision to terminate the mandate of Milorad Dodik, the president of Republika Srpska.
This decision by the CEC followed the confirmation by the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH of the first-instance verdict against Dodik, by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban from performing public functions.
There is a possibility of appeal to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH against this CEC decision, which was adopted unanimously.
Dodik pointed out that he is not withdrawing from the political scene, despite pressures and attempts to limit his activities.
– No, of course, I am not withdrawing anywhere. If I were to withdraw, I would have to admit that Schmidt won, the international interventionism that is very present there, and that the Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina won. These are big challenges – said Dodik, as reported by Euronews.
