Former President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro Vesna Medenica was today sentenced to one year and nine months in prison, and Commercial Court judge Milica Vlahović Milosavljević to six months in prison.
The indictment states that Vlahović Milosavljević committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position, while Medenica committed abuse of official position through incitement, Vijesti reports.
The indictment also states that Medenica, as President of the Supreme Court, influenced a Commercial Court judge to render a decision in a case in favor of her godfather Rado Arsić, to the detriment of the corporation “Ten,” headquartered in Moscow.
This is a first-instance verdict delivered by Branislav Leković, a judge of the High Court in Podgorica.
