The High Court in Belgrade ordered the detention of five suspects accused of preparing a violent change of government in the Republic of Serbia, and two of them also for unauthorized carrying of firearms.
Detention was ordered for I. M., N. A., B. M., A. I., and V. K., Tanjug learns. By the same decision, S. G. was placed under house arrest.
They are suspected of the criminal offense of preparing a violent change of government in the Republic of Serbia, and two of them also for unauthorized carrying of firearms.
All suspects denied committing the criminal offense during the hearing at the prosecutor’s office and presented their defense.
All suspects are charged with the criminal offense of Preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia from Article 320, in connection with the criminal offense of Incitement to violent change of the constitutional order from Article 309 of the Criminal Code.
I. M. and B. M. are also charged with the criminal offense of Illegal production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials from Article 348 of the Criminal Code.
There are grounds for suspicion that the mentioned suspects held a meeting on June 21, 2025, in a hotel in Kraljevo and planned a violent change of government in the Republic of Serbia. They agreed not to return home until they “kill or destroy” representatives of state institutions, announced the use of firearms, agreed to attack police officers with the aim of disarming them, and a violent intrusion into the building of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and other institutions, as well as media houses Radio Television of Serbia, “Happy” and “Informer”.
