The White House has released information regarding talks between the United States and Russia, which took place in Saudi Arabia. The agreement has also been confirmed by Ukraine.

Washington announced that the U.S. and Russia have reached an agreement to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, one of the key goals of the negotiations. It was also agreed that there would be no attacks on energy infrastructure in either Russia or Ukraine.

Additionally, Washington will assist Russia in regaining access to global markets for agricultural exports and fertilizers, including reducing insurance costs for ships and facilitating port access and payment systems for these transactions.

The White House also confirmed that the U.S. and Ukraine have agreed to continue American efforts to return forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.

“The U.S. and Russia have agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. The United States will help Russia return to global markets for agricultural exports and fertilizers, reduce maritime insurance costs, and improve access to ports and payment systems for such transactions.”

On the other hand, during talks between the U.S. and Ukraine, it was also agreed to secure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the military use of commercial vessels in the Black Sea.

“In accordance with presidential-level discussions between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the U.S. facilitated bilateral technical talks with the Ukrainian delegation from March 23 to 25 in Riyadh. Following these discussions, the U.S. and Ukraine agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the military use of commercial vessels in the Black Sea,” the White House stated in an official announcement on its website.

The statement adds that the U.S. and Ukraine have also agreed that Washington remains committed to facilitating prisoner exchanges, the release of civilian detainees, and the return of forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that the U.S. and Ukraine have agreed to develop measures to implement the Trump-Zelensky agreement prohibiting attacks on energy facilities in both Russia and Ukraine.

“The U.S. has reiterated President Trump’s imperative to both sides that the killings in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine must stop as an essential step toward achieving a lasting peace solution. To this end, the U.S. will continue to facilitate negotiations between both parties to reach a peaceful resolution, in accordance with the agreements reached in Riyadh,” the statement concludes.
