FINAL DECISION OF THE OUTGOING PRIME MINISTER: Education workers who did not work will not receive part of their salary!

The outgoing Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, stated today that professors, teachers and educators who did not hold classes for children in schools will not receive the first part of their February salary tomorrow, and emphasized that this decision is final.

Vučević said that one cannot receive a salary for not working, because it is not fair in relation to those who did work.

“Those who kicked students out of schools say that today they are teaching much more important lessons. Don’t lie, you are politicizing the school,” Vučević said while appearing as a guest on TV Prva.

Vučević added that it is allowed for schools not to work, which was not even the case during the occupation.

They say they are fighting for a better Serbia, and is Serbia better when high school students spit or swear at their principal, Vučević asked.

“I find it especially disgusting when someone proclaims them heroes, and they swear and physically attack their professors and principals,” Vučević said, alluding to the students of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium in blockade.

When asked whether the goal is for all children and students to return to schools and faculties, Vučević answered that if that was their goal, they would not have kicked them out.

“They have the right to their opinion, political activism, to support whomever they want, but not to kick children out of school,” Vučević said, emphasizing that it cannot even be verified what the educators “cleverly did,” which is to have parents decide in Viber groups whether to go to school or not.

Vučević emphasized that something that is a legal obligation cannot be suspended, and that he does not understand parents who will not let their children go to school.

“Now they have remembered the issue of safety. What happened in schools that children cannot go? What does that have to do with the canopy collapse that children don’t have classes today,” Vučević asked.

Vučević emphasized that because of all this, it is not the government that is currently threatened, but the entire state.
