Poland responded by scrambling fighter jets to protect its airspace during the attacks. Russian strikes hit the cities of Kharkiv, Lutsk, and Lviv using drones and guided bombs.

Several Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv, Lutsk, and Lviv, were hit in a new wave of Russian attacks involving combat drones and guided bombs.

At least two people were wounded, critical infrastructure was damaged, and significant material damage was caused in the attacks, local authorities announced.

The city of Kharkiv was hit by a total of 10 strikes, including two KAB guided aerial bombs and eight combat drones, Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

An abandoned industrial facility was the most severely affected, with fires breaking out in storage facilities.

One “Shahed” type drone struck a critical infrastructure object.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration, two men, aged 55 and 33, were wounded and hospitalized.

Residential buildings, cars, and the city’s electrical grid were also damaged.

In the attack on the city of Lutsk in western Ukraine, a private residential house was destroyed, Mayor Ihor Polishchuk announced.

The attack shattered windows in several surrounding buildings, and one car caught fire.

“Thank God, there is no information about fatalities,” Polishchuk stated, adding that details regarding material damage are still being determined.

Lviv experienced a combined drone and missile attack overnight.

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv region, a two-story residential building on Metropolitan Andriy Street was hit, with one entrance partially destroyed, and gas and water leaks occurring.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stated that there were no casualties in the attack, but several people received on-site medical attention.

In the Zaliznychnyi district, a building roof with an area of about 200 square meters was on fire. A kindergarten, several houses, and dozens of cars were damaged.

Soon after these Russian attacks on the western parts of Ukraine and the cities of Lviv, Ternopil, Volyn, and Chernivtsi, Poland scrambled fighter jets.

The Polish Air Force announced on platform X that it had launched fighter jets to protect Polish airspace during the attacks.
