A serious incident occurred in the northern part of Munich in which at least one person died, and there are also injured.
According to the police, there was a shooting and explosions on Lerchenauer Street. Special units and bomb disposal teams are at the scene.
Police found the body of a man who is suspected of setting an explosive device in his parents’ house, setting it on fire, and then committing suicide. One other person was found with gunshot wounds, Bild reports.

A large part of the area has been blocked off, and residents and drivers are asked to avoid it. Witnesses claim that a large cloud of smoke is visible, while the exact circumstances are still under investigation.
Witnesses state that the detonations were heard kilometers away, and the atmosphere at the scene is tense – sirens are echoing, and citizens are in shock.

Photographs clearly show a van that has been completely burned out, while police officers and bomb disposal teams are working to secure the area.
Police announced that there is no danger to citizens and that the case is not connected to Oktoberfest.
