In an explosion that occurred at the premises of the Montenegrin Center for Space Research (Montenegro Space Research) in Podgorica, two people were injured, “Vijesti” has learned unofficially.
The organization officially confirmed to the newsroom that an incident occurred, but stated that one person was injured.
“We can confirm that an incident occurred in the workspace. One person sustained injuries and is currently under medical supervision. The relevant institutions were immediately notified and proceedings are underway, and for that reason we are not able to provide additional details at this time. We ask for understanding and respect for the privacy of the injured person,” Filip Jovićević, one of the founders and director, told the newsroom.
Severe injuries
According to unofficial information from “Vijesti,” in the incident that occurred at the premises of Montenegro Space Research, one person, A. R., sustained hand injuries, which required the amputation of two fingers.
For the second person, I. J., according to information provided to the newsroom, hearing damage occurred.
A. R. and I. J. were interns at Montenegro Space Research through a professional training program.
