Ahead of the local elections in Kosovo and Metohija, scheduled for October 12, 2025, the Republic of Serbia is calling on all internally displaced persons from the southern province, temporarily accommodated in central Serbia, to, as stated, exercise their voting right and thereby contribute to the survival of the Serbian people in their centuries-old hearths.
“This call was issued after an appeal from our compatriots from Kosovo and Metohija, who emphasize the importance of every single vote for the permanence and survival of the Serbian community in the province,” it is stated.
All citizens who have a valid ID card issued by the temporary self-government institutions in Pristina have the right to vote. Interested citizens can register and get all the necessary information by calling the free phone number 0800 000 506, no later than October 10, 2025.
The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia reminds that going to the polls is an important step in preserving the political presence and institutional struggle for the rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
“Every vote is important for the permanence and survival of our people in Kosovo and Metohija,” the Commissariat says.
