Energy Minister Dubravka Đedović Handanović stated that MOL and Gazprom Neft have agreed on the basic provisions of a future purchase agreement for NIS.
Hungarian company MOL and Russia’s Gazprom have agreed on the basic provisions of a future purchase agreement for NIS, which will be submitted to the U.S. OFAC for a decision, and Serbia has managed in the negotiations to increase its ownership stake by five percent, Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović said today.
“What is also important is that Serbia managed in these negotiations to improve its position compared to 2008, when we remained below 30 percent ownership, namely to increase our ownership in the future in the Oil Industry of Serbia by five percent and reach a number of shares that will allow us greater decision-making rights in the Shareholders’ Assembly, and above all to protect the interests of our citizens,” the minister said.
As for partners from the United Arab Emirates, as she said, it is expected that they will also be part of the future purchase agreement.
