The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has updated statistics on arrested foreign nationals who are accused of serious criminal offenses in America, and among the new names on the list are two persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo media reported.
It is stated that in the latest operations of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Border Patrol, Brankica Janković and Armin Smajilović were arrested.
Janković was arrested in the city of Nashville, in the state of Tennessee, and she is suspected of drug possession and unauthorized presence on someone else’s property.
Smajilović was also arrested in Nashville, and he is charged with premeditated murder.
On the list, which they called “Worst of the worst” (Worst of the wors), there have previously been 11 persons who hold BiH passports or are originally from this country.
These are Jeton Bitići, Admir Vele, Safet Avdulahaj, Demir Kećo, Gordana Juhić, Mirdal Lipljanac, Adnan Sinanović, Kemal Dugalić, Ermin Šarić, Denisa Alimanović and Hata Šarić.
They are charged with numerous serious criminal offenses, ranging from assault, possession and sale of narcotics to theft and money laundering.
It is still not known whether these arrested persons will be deported to BiH and where they are currently located, Sarajevo media stated.
