EXIT has confirmed they signed an agreement with an Egyptian company to create a new festival in front of the pyramids next year.
As Jutarnji list unofficially learns, after facing pressure from Serbian authorities, EXIT announced its departure from the country. This festival will be held in front of the Egyptian pyramids next year.
At this location, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, next October, EXIT will gather some of the biggest names in the global music scene in an event that will mark a new epoch in the festival’s history.
After the impressive Petrovaradin Fortress and the Adriatic coast, where Exit’s Sea Star and Sea Dance festivals were held, the next destination where EXIT will host a festival is the Egyptian pyramids. Several concerts and parties have been held at this ancient site so far, but EXIT will be the first festival ever held in front of the pyramids.
The partner in this revolutionary project is the renowned global event organization Venture Lifestyle, considered a leader in event production at ancient locations in the Middle East. They have organized events featuring Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Black Eyed Peas, Peggy Gou, and others, while their brand P+US is behind some of the most prominent performances in front of world cultural heritage sites, including performances by Carl Cox and Adriatique, as well as upcoming performances by Tiësto, Solomun, and Anyme.
EXIT confirmed to the mentioned media that they have signed an agreement with an Egyptian company to create a new festival in front of the pyramids next year. However, the official presentation of the new festival will be held after EXIT’s 25th anniversary, which begins today in Novi Sad, featuring performances by Sex Pistols, The Prodigy, Tiësto, Eric Prydz, DJ Snake, Solomun, and many others.
We remind you that after openly supporting student protests in Serbia and their fight for freedom, EXIT faced the cessation of all forms of state co-financing and pressure from the authorities. Prominent global media such as the BBC and The Guardian also wrote about EXIT’s departure from Serbia, and they received support from the main European festival association Yourope and numerous international music stars.
