DODIK: They are trying to transfer riots from Sarajevo to Banja Luka, we will not be your refuge from the people’s anger!

The leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, stated today that the leaders of People and Justice (NiP) and the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP BiH), Elmedin Konakovic and Nermin Niksic, are coming to Banja Luka to sign inter-party cooperation ahead of the general elections in October this year in order to, as he assessed, transfer the unrest from the streets of Sarajevo to Banja Luka.

“Banja Luka will not be your refuge from the anger of the people, cover for your amateurism, nor the source where you will wash the blood of the people from Jablanica, Tuzla, Sarajevo, who perished because of your incompetence and arrogance,” Dodik wrote on the social network X.

A tram accident occurred in Sarajevo last Thursday, in which one student died, which triggered mass citizen protests against the authorities.

He added that Konakovic and Niksic, “as pre-war communists, are fleeing into hiding abroad to hide from your own people.”

“You are coming on the first day of Ramadan, showing that you do not care about Bosniaks, but about chaos in which you would preserve your seats. With such intentions, you are not welcome. You deserve ‘boos’ and whistles,” Dodik stated.

He added that they “cannot provoke Republika Srpska with ‘shell game tricks’,” adding that “no matter how much they long for unrest, they will be welcomed and seen off in peace.”

“And in the end, it will be where were you – nowhere, what did you do – nothing,” Dodik concluded.
