The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, sharply reacted to statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky directed at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, describing them as “an open act of hostility” and an attack on the sovereignty of a nation.
In a social media post, Dodik stated that the threats Zelensky made toward the Hungarian prime minister are not just a diplomatic dispute but, as he described, a serious sign of political intolerance toward statesmen who pursue different policies.
“The threats Zelensky directed at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban are not only an act of disrespect for sovereignty but an open act of hostility, which I strongly condemn,” Dodik said.
He accused the Ukrainian president of failing to provide solutions for the suffering of his own people.

“Unable to offer the people of Ukraine anything but suffering and hardship, Zelensky has turned his aggression toward a statesman who brings security and prosperity to his own nation,” Dodik stated.
The Republika Srpska president emphasized that Hungary and Viktor Orban have repeatedly demonstrated a commitment to peace, which, according to him, draws criticism from those willing to sacrifice others’ lives to maintain political power.
“Hungary and Prime Minister Orban have countless times shown that they stand for peace, for life, which clearly bothers those ready to sacrifice other people’s lives for their own rule. Justice has always prevailed over force. Life has always won. That is why Viktor Orban is a statesman, while Zelensky is an actor playing comedy, as his people suffer tragedy,” Dodik wrote.
He concluded by stating that Republika Srpska will remain alongside its allies, emphasizing that Hungary and its prime minister are long-standing, proven friends.
“Republika Srpska will always stand with its friends, and Hungary and Viktor Orban are our trusted friends,” Dodik concluded.
