Geneva, Switzerland – Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will compete for his 100th career trophy after reaching the final of the ATP tournament in Geneva. He defeated Britain’s Cameron Norrie in three sets: 6-4, 6-7, 6-1.
From the very start of the match, an intense battle unfolded. Both players were very confident in their service games. Then, Novak broke Norrie in the seventh game, securing a crucial break. This proved sufficient for the Serb to take a 1-0 lead in sets.
In the second set, Norrie played significantly better, capping off a strong performance with a break in the fourth game. He then consolidated it in the next, taking a 4-1 lead. Novak attempted to mount a comeback and had a few chances for a break, but the Briton managed to hold his serve until the ninth game, putting him on the brink of leveling the match. However, Novak then staged a comeback!
Djokovic broke in the ninth game of the second set, then confirmed it in the next to draw even at 5-5. The set ultimately went to a tie-break, where a fierce contest ensued. The Serbian tennis player had one match point, which he failed to convert, but the Briton capitalized on his opportunity, leveling the sets.

Nevertheless, Djokovic did not falter. On the contrary, he started the third set with force, racing to a 3-0 lead in games where he allowed Norrie to win only one point. After that, the Briton managed to narrow the gap to 3-1, but that would be his only game, as Novak went on to win the next three to secure the triumph!
Novak Djokovic will face Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz in the final, who defeated Austria’s Sebastian Ofner 2-0 (6-3, 6-4) in the semi-finals.
The Serbian tennis player will attempt to reach his 100th career title. The battle for the trophy will begin on Sunday at 3:00 PM CEST.
