A Partizan supporter, N. K. (30), was shot on Saturday evening around 9 p.m. in a New Belgrade restaurant while in the company of Nenad Alajbegović, known as Alibeg. According to unofficial information, investigators suspect that the young attacker may not have recognized Alibeg as the intended target and instead shot the Partizan supporter. Unofficial reports indicate the attacker is around 20 years old.

According to early findings, the shooting occurred when a man dressed in black with a hood over his head entered the restaurant. He was reportedly wearing white sneakers.

Sources say there is a possibility that the attacker failed to identify his intended target, which may have been Nenad Alajbegović, known as Alibeg. However, this information has not been officially confirmed.

The man entered with his hood up and approached the table where Alajbegović and N. K. (30) were sitting.

“He was looking at his phone, then stopped, pulled out a gun, and fired three or four shots. Alibeg ran up the stairs, and the shooter approached the young man he targeted and fired several more rounds,” an eyewitness said.

“The shooter stood behind them for 45 seconds, and when N. K. turned around and looked at him, he approached and began shooting,” the eyewitness added.

They were sitting next to the restroom, near the bar and the entrance to the kitchen on the first level, he said.

Nenad Alajbegović initially gave a statement to police about the shooting inside the restaurant and left shortly afterward.

He exited, according to reports, accompanied by another man.

Upon leaving, he first crouched down and looked under the vehicle before getting in—most likely, investigators suspect, to check whether an explosive device had been planted.

Alibeg has escaped death at least 10 times

Alajbegović has reportedly survived at least ten assassination attempts and is a former leader of the supporter group “Zabranjeni.”

He was also targeted on July 8 of this year, when an unknown assailant fired multiple rounds at him while he was in the driver’s seat of his car. He was uninjured.

According to independent sources, Nenad Alajbegović, former leader of the supporter group “Zabranjeni,” has previously been targeted in numerous attacks and has an extensive criminal record.

The supporter group “Zabranjeni” has been in a long-standing violent conflict with the rival faction “Alkatraz.” Nenad’s brother, Dejan, who was also one of Partizan’s supporter leaders, was killed 15 years ago, Blic reports.
