Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić stated last night that the police have established public order and peace in Belgrade and that 42 police officers were injured at the rallies in Serbia—26 of them in Belgrade, seven in Valjevo, and nine in Pančevo—while 37 people were arrested, N1 writes.

Dačić told reporters that protests and attacks on the police and Serbian Progressive Party premises were ongoing in eight or nine locations in Serbia.
During his address last night, he emphasized that “all those who have committed crimes and offenses will be arrested.”
He resolutely denied that the police had provoked the incidents in any way, defending the actions of the officers.
“This is an attack on the state, an attack on those who think differently. This is an attack on the police,” the minister stated, adding that the police officers “did not deserve such treatment and such attacks.”
