The Serbian member and chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, told Srna that by privatizing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković contributed to the collapse of BiH, together with Christian Schmidt, who, she says, further set the country back.
Asked by Srna to comment on Konaković’s statement that anyone who works to the detriment of BiH in the diplomatic-consular (DKP) network risks being removed from their positions, Cvijanović replied that he did not appoint anyone, so he will not withdraw anyone either.
“The fact that he privatized the DKP network with the intention of putting it in the function of Bosniak interests will eventually backfire on him. That boasting about how he will do this or that through, as he says, diplomatic channels, serves only for self-promotion,” Cvijanović pointed out.

She added that it is similar to when Sven Alkalaj boasts about a meeting with the US Secretary of State and claims that he will influence his views against Republika Srpska, even though that meeting will be held in a group with 196 other ambassadors.
“The time when they managed to privatize the institutions of foreign countries in addition to the institutions of BiH is definitely passing. What they have done so far has been catastrophic. The DKP network served them only to settle accounts with Republika Srpska, and not to represent the views of BiH,” Cvijanović stated.
She emphasized that a country that is guarded by threats is miserable, and even more miserable are those who think that they will really preserve it with threats.
“It can be seen where they have brought it, together with Schmidt and previous Schmidts,” concluded the Serbian member and chairwoman of the BiH Presidency.
