Ivko Marić (45) was arrested on Saturday, along with his wife, for illegal possession of weapons. As confirmed to 24sata.hr by informed sources, the police reacted because the target of the attack was supposed to be the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
As the portal learns, the police could not ignore this very serious information and took action. Recall that the police, in relation to this part, stated that they are conducting further investigations.
“In relation to operational information about the security threat to a high-ranking state official, which was the initial reason for the proceedings, the police are conducting investigations and, according to the legal provision on the secrecy of the investigation, we are unable to provide more details,” concludes the Zagreb police.

As Jutarnji List reports, police arrived at their doorstep with search warrants after receiving information through other channels that, among other things, possible threats to a high-ranking Croatian government official were mentioned in some informal conversations.
As a reminder, six months ago, Marić drove his Ferrari to the Domovinski Pokret election headquarters. In the passenger seat, he had newly elected European Parliament member Stiven Nikola Bartulica.
