All three Croatian mountaineers who went missing below the peak of Toska in the Slovenian Alps have been found dead.
Thus, this very sad story came to its tragic end.
The only consolation is the fact that four other mountaineers were in the expedition, but they did not continue the ascent that fateful morning; due to bad weather, they remained in the mountain hut.
One of them is a 40-year-old waiter from Kaštel Sućurac who contacted his family to say that he was alive.
The weather conditions in the Julian Alps are still very poor, and there is a great danger of new avalanches.
Croatian and Slovenian rescue services found the bodies of the three deceased.
One is from the Solin settlement of Sveti Kajo, while the other two are brothers from Kaštel Lukšić. One is about 32 years old, the other about 26.
How cruel life can be is evidenced by the fact that one of the brothers got married a few months ago, while the other was supposed to get married soon.
However, the snow avalanche froze their happiness, their young lives, to the sorrow of Kaštela, Dalmatia, and the whole of Croatia, which was enveloped in gloom because of this terrible accident.
The family from Kaštela is on its way to Slovenia, where they lost two of their three sons.
