The joint-stock company “Intelligence” from Saint Petersburg took over 11.3 percent of NIS shares from “Gazprom,” RTS learns.
By the way, that company is also a subsidiary of “Gazprom,” and the transaction was completed on Friday, September 19.
In NIS, the largest share now belongs to “Gazprom Neft” with 44.85 percent, the second shareholder is the state of Serbia with 29.87, and the third is “Intelligence” with a share of 11.3 percent. The rest are small shareholders.
Two days ago, Naftna industrija Srbije sent a new request to the US Department of the Treasury for a postponement of sanctions, as the last one-month extension expires on September 26.
President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he is afraid there will be no more postponements of sanctions for NIS.
