Students entered the session of the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad and are demanding the resignation of Dean Milivoj Alanović, a Danas reporter reports.
Students and professors are mass questioning Professor Jelena Kleut, to which the dean has no answers.
A large number of students entered the session, while many were unable to get into the room due to the great level of interest. One of the agenda items under “miscellaneous” is the dean’s resignation, and the moment discussion on this began was used by students to enter the session.

Dean Alanović stated that today there are noticeably more students and more professors at the Faculty than yesterday, and that events at the Faculty are expected to be one of the topics of the Teaching and Scientific Council session.
In addition to 17 agenda items, some employees will demand that two urgent requests be submitted to the University’s Committee for Statutory Issues — to review whether the course of the Senate sessions in which decisions were made on the status of Professor Jelena Kleut was in accordance with the University Statute, and to examine the validity of the extended Senate session at which the director of the BioSense Institute, Vladimir Crnojević, was not present.
Faculty of Philosophy student Olga Pantić told N1 that the session is regular, and that an additional item on developments at the Faculty of Philosophy has been added.
“All other items are standard, Jelena Kleut is not mentioned. We initially planned to stop the council, but we will allow it to proceed to the end and ask how they voted, given that our faculty’s representative is listed as having voted in favor of Jelena Kleut,” the student said.
Let us recall that, at Alanović’s request, police two days ago removed employees and students from the Faculty who wanted to express their protest by blocking the institution over the non-extension of Professor Jelena Kleut’s employment contract.
The police reacted brutally, and several students were injured, as evidenced by footage on news portals and social media. Protests followed in Novi Sad, students of the University of Novi Sad declared a boycott and called on their colleagues in Belgrade, Kragujevac, and Novi Pazar to join them.
