Serbian female wrestlers achieved great success in Poreč, where the European Beach Wrestling Championship was held over the past two days, winning a total of nine medals.

Our U20 team won silver, while the Serbian national teams for U17 and U15 categories earned bronze.

In the U20 women’s competition, Maša Perović and Evelin Ujhelji reached the silver medal, while Milica Sekulović won bronze.

Our U15 team also won three medals.

Fani Šoš became the European champion, Nikoleta Sabo was second, and Nevena Živojinović was third.

Serbian U17 female wrestlers also won three medals, as Inrigo Đeri and Gabrijela Berkec took silver, and Ivana Gajić secured bronze.

“The impressions are truly phenomenal. The girls fought like lions in fierce competition and deserve all congratulations. Ukrainian wrestlers dominated this championship, but our competitors managed to defeat them in some matches. The result gains even more significance when considering that beach wrestling could soon become an Olympic sport, and it’s interesting that it will already be part of the program for the Youth Olympics in Dakar in 2026,” stated Dalibor Perović, coach of our women’s selections.
