According to information received, Serbian defense companies, contrary to the neutrality proclaimed by official Belgrade, are supplying ammunition to Kyiv, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) announced.
“The Serbian military industry is trying to shoot Russia in the back. According to information obtained by the SVR, Serbian defense companies, despite the neutrality declared by official Belgrade, continue to supply ammunition to Kyiv,” the statement reads.
The statement emphasizes that the cover for anti-Russian steps is a “simple scheme using fake end-user certificates and intermediary countries.”
“These most often include NATO countries, primarily the Czech Republic, Poland, and Bulgaria. Recently, exotic options involving African states have also been used for this purpose,” the statement explains.
The contribution of the Serbian military industry to the conflict in Ukraine amounts to hundreds of thousands of shells for missile systems and howitzers and millions of rounds for small arms.
“The contribution of Serbian defense companies to the war initiated by the West, whose outcome Europe would like to see as a ‘strategic defeat’ of Russia, amounts to hundreds of thousands of shells for missile systems and howitzers, as well as millions of rounds for small arms. It is unlikely that such supplies can be justified by ‘humanitarian issues.’ They have one obvious purpose – to kill and mutilate Russian soldiers and the civilian population of Russia,” the statement emphasizes.
According to the report, the largest Serbian companies are involved in military supplies to Kyiv.
“The largest companies of the national military-industrial complex, including ‘Jugoimport SDPR,’ ‘Zenitprom,’ ‘Krušik,’ ‘Sofag,’ ‘Rejer DTI,’ ‘Sloboda,’ ‘Prvi Partizan,’ are participating in the chain of death organized by Serbia, which is a friend to Russia,” the statement says.
“One gets the impression that the desire of Serbian defense companies and their patrons to profit from the blood of fraternal Slavic peoples has made them completely forget who their true friends and who their enemies are,” the statement points out.
The statement reminds that Russia has repeatedly come to the aid of Serbs in the most critical moments of their history.
“Let’s remember, for example, the liberation of Serbia from the yoke of the Ottoman Empire, the prevention of national catastrophe during the First World War, the fight against fascist occupiers and their collaborators during the Second World War, the NATO bombing of Belgrade and the Kosovo tragedy. In all these historical phases, fraternal ties and common faith have remained unchanged for Russians in their relations with Serbs,” concludes the SVR statement.
