At least 13 civilians were killed and 59 wounded in Pakistani attacks on the Indian side of the disputed Kashmir region, the Indian government announced today in a new toll of the conflict.
Most of the civilians died in a village in the northwest, along the “line of control” that divides the disputed Kashmir region between the two countries, the Ministry of External Affairs announced.

Pakistan launched artillery attacks on Indian territory in response to strikes by Indian forces that had previously targeted Pakistani soil in retaliation for a deadly attack on April 22.
