At the entrance to the Serbian village of Glušci in the municipality of Metković in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County in Croatia, offensive graffiti with messages “Serbs on willows” and Ustaše symbols have been written once again.
Residents noticed the inscriptions last night, but did not report the case to the police because they say that the perpetrators of previous similar misdeeds were not discovered either, RTRS reported.
Graffiti with the messages “Kill a Serb” and the Ustaše greeting “Ready for the homeland” were written at the entrance to Glušci in September of last year as well.
This occurred just before the commemoration of the anniversary of the suffering of the Serbian population from Glušci in 1944 when 93 residents, including women and children, were taken to the Ustaše death camp Jasenovac.
About forty residents now live in Glušci, and it is the only village with an exclusively Serbian population in the south of Croatia.
