Nikola Jokić has captivated the world with his basketball skills – not just those who follow the magical sport under the hoops. The Serbian center has inspired an American artist who wrote him a hymn.

DJ Maculate posted a song dedicated to the world’s best basketball player on social media – it’s called “Sombor Shufflin” after Jokić’s signature one-legged step-back shot.

“Nikola Jokić would never make a rap song himself, so I did it for him over the last five weeks. Introducing: Sombor Shuffle. Features great work by Alec Guinn, and I did the animation. The greatest of all time got shoes and a book this month, and now he has a hymn,” the post reads.

The animation uses the most famous works of world art. In Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper,” Jokić is depicted as Jesus, while in Paja Jovanović’s painting “The Migration of the Serbs,” he is portrayed as Arsenije III Čarnojević.

His Denver teammates also appear as supporting characters.

The song emphasizes that Nikola is “the king of this game,” mentions the fact that he was a three-time MVP – and that it should have been four times, talks about Serbia and, of course, his love for horses.

The connection between rap or hip-hop culture and the NBA league is unbreakable, a large number of players also make music, among the most famous are Damian Lillard and Lonzo Ball, and Jokić’s teammate, Aaron Gordon, has also tried his hand at it.
