At the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Dubai, all representatives from Serbia won medals among 354 competitors from 90 countries.

The Serbian team included Janko Popović, a student from the Mathematical High School in Belgrade, who secured a silver medal, making him the most successful Serbian competitor in the history of Serbia’s participation in this prestigious international competition, as announced on the Mathematical High School’s website.

Bronze medals were won by Uroš Mladenović, a student from the High School in Kruševac; Luka Švraka, a student from “Isidora Sekulić” High School in Novi Sad; and Andrej Drobnjaković, another student from the Mathematical High School in Belgrade.

The Serbian team underwent two weeks of intensive preparation organized by the Serbian Chemical Society, which took place at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade.
