Albin Kurti has resigned from the position of prime minister, as stated in a letter sent to the so-called Secretariat of the Kosovo Assembly, reports Klan Kosova.

According to the law, those who receive a mandate as members of parliament and simultaneously hold an executive position in the so-called Kosovo government — such as prime minister, deputy prime minister, minister, or deputy minister — must resign from their executive role.

This is because, under the rules, they cannot simultaneously serve as members of parliament and as part of the executive branch.
