Denver triumphed in a tough road game in Phoenix, and Nikola Jokić was once again doing wonders. The Serbian national team member did not miss a single shot from the field, finishing the game with 26 points, and for the second game in a row he was one rebound short of achieving a triple-double in the 130–112 win over the Suns.
Jokara made all 7 of his shots (2–2 from three), had 10 assists and, as mentioned, 9 rebounds to complete the Sombor variant of the triple-double.
Denver distributed the scoring perfectly, with 6 players finishing in double figures. Murray scored 24 points (4 ast), the increasingly impressive Hardaway had 23, Jones — the surprise from the bench who became a member of the starting five — scored 16 along with 9 rebounds, and Cameron Johnson added 15 (4 ast, 4 reb).
In the defeated Phoenix team, the best were Canadian Dillon Brooks with 27, and Devin Booker with 24 (7 ast, 4 reb).
Denver holds fourth place in the West with a 14–5 record, while Phoenix is seventh at 12–9.
The Nuggets play their next game at home against Dallas on Monday.
