The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Serbia announced that it had detained 37 persons who, as they state, participated in disturbing public order and peace and causing incidents in front of the Assembly.

“Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified and brought 37 persons into official premises, who participated in disturbing public order and peace and causing incidents during the unannounced public gathering, the previous evening, in front of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia,” the MUP statement said.
They added that the police are intensively working on the identification and search for the remaining participants who, with their “actions, endangered the safety of citizens and public property.”
The police, the statement reads, will continue to consistently apply all legal measures with the aim of preserving public order, peace, and the safety of all citizens.
