Veselin Mili\u0107 spent just under two months behind bars in connection with the Senjak murder. Neither the current leadership nor, under the present arrangement of responsibilities and positions, the Director of Police or the Minister of the Interior have been instructed to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Veselin Mili\u0107,\u201d said retired police colonel Slavica Radovanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also asked the Ministry of the Interior whether disciplinary proceedings had been initiated against Veselin Mili\u0107, but its response stated that it had no information on the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a scandal in its own right. It tells us what state our police force is in. Veselin Mili\u0107 returned to work on his own after being released from detention. He didn\u2019t wait those three days that would have allowed disciplinary proceedings to be initiated against him for failing to show up for work. His superior, Police Director Dragan Vasiljevi\u0107, did not see fit to initiate disciplinary proceedings against him either; instead, he played dead, as he has in every risky situation,\u201d said Milo\u0161 Lazi\u0107, a journalist with the Nova.rs portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While he was in detention, the charges against the former head of the Belgrade police were reduced. The prosecution no longer accuses him of assisting the suspects in the murder at a restaurant in Senjak, but only of failing to report a criminal offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn the end, it will turn out that the whole thing came to nothing and that nothing will happen. Veselin Mili\u0107 has managed to slip through this whole affair. He is a man who knows a great deal, and no one dares touch him. God forbid he actually starts talking about everything he knows\u2014feathers would be flying everywhere,\u201d Lazi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Radovanovi\u0107 added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe held a position where, in Belgrade, a major center of events in our country, a great deal goes on. He possesses extensive knowledge. Time will tell in what direction he acted or whether he covered certain things up, but Veselin Mili\u0107 is certainly associated with close ties to representatives of the current government.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it seems that ties also exist with criminal clans. As KRIK revealed, Mili\u0107 is mentioned in Sky messages belonging to criminal figure Milo\u0161 Pandrc, who is close to Darko \u0160ari\u0107.
