As he told BAP Vesti, officials visited this state-run institution over the weekend and distributed packages bearing the insignia of the Serbian Progressive Party to residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marinkovi\u0107 states that among those distributing the packages was Predrag Vuleti\u0107, the provincial secretary for social policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to him, the packages distributed to residents contained a B-complex vitamin supplement, a jar of honey bearing the <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/sns\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Serbian Progressive Party<\/a> slogan \u201cSerbia Is Winning,\u201d a notepad, a pen, a lighter, and candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-serbiantimes-info wp-block-embed-serbiantimes-info\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"3qXywQSNk3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/policija-zabranila-skup-podrske-studentima-u-banjaluci-dodik-pozvao-da-se-glasa-protiv-studentske-liste\/\">POLICIJA ZABRANILA SKUP PODR\u0160KE STUDENTIMA U BANJALUCI: Dodik pozvao da se glasa protiv Studentske liste!<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201ePOLICIJA ZABRANILA SKUP PODR\u0160KE STUDENTIMA U BANJALUCI: Dodik pozvao da se glasa protiv Studentske liste!\u201c \u2014 Serbiantimes.info\" src=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/policija-zabranila-skup-podrske-studentima-u-banjaluci-dodik-pozvao-da-se-glasa-protiv-studentske-liste\/embed\/#?secret=Jyu3EcRVbg#?secret=3qXywQSNk3\" data-secret=\"3qXywQSNk3\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marinkovi\u0107 says he reacted to the situation and addressed questions to both the institution\u2019s director and Secretary Vuleti\u0107. He believed that political promotion had no place in a social care institution where elderly and dependent residents live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI asked the director: \u2018What is this? Is this an SNS call center, an election <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/kampanja\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">campaign<\/a>? Here, in the home? Aren\u2019t you ashamed of turning these poor people into what you\u2019re turning them into, buying votes with these little gift packages?\u2019\u201d Marinkovi\u0107 stated, adding that a verbal confrontation followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">He Claims He Was Told to Move Out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Marinkovi\u0107, he received no answers to the questions he had asked. Shortly after the argument, he claims, a social worker approached him and verbally informed him that he had until Monday to leave the Geriatric Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI said, \u2018Only over my dead body,\u2019\u201d Marinkovi\u0107 says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He emphasizes that he has been living at the Geriatric Center for more than five years and that, according to his claims, he has not violated the institution\u2019s rules. He says he is now worried that he could lose his accommodation because he has nowhere to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cHe Asked Me for My Phone So I Would Delete What I Had Photographed\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marinkovi\u0107 claims that the unpleasant incidents did not end with the conversation about his eviction. As he was returning to his room after the argument, he says, a young man he did not know caught up with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI started heading to my room, and a young, strong man caught up with me. By the middle of the staircase, he was asking for my phone so I would delete what I had photographed. I told him there was no chance,\u201d Marinkovi\u0107 recounted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked who the man was who had allegedly demanded his phone, Marinkovi\u0107 said he did not know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI have no idea who that man is.
