{"id":219993,"date":"2026-10-18T11:35:17","date_gmt":"2026-10-18T09:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=219993"},"modified":"2026-10-18T11:35:18","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T09:35:18","slug":"two-institutions-two-figures-interior-ministry-reports-110000-while-the-archive-of-public-gatherings-estimates-around-16500-people-at-the-novi-sad-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/two-institutions-two-figures-interior-ministry-reports-110000-while-the-archive-of-public-gatherings-estimates-around-16500-people-at-the-novi-sad-rally\/","title":{"rendered":"TWO INSTITUTIONS, TWO FIGURES: Interior Ministry reports 110,000, while the Archive of Public Gatherings estimates around 16,500 people at the Novi Sad rally!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The Archive of Public Gatherings has announced that 16,500 people attended last night\u2019s rally held by the \u201cAleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 \u2013 United Serbia\u201d electoral list.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a post on its <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/FEJSBUK\/\">Facebook<\/a> account, the Archive stated that its methodology involved calculating the area occupied by the gathering and estimating crowd density in different zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It added that the estimate was based on footage recorded at 6:23 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/MUP\/\">Ministry of Interior<\/a> announced last night that 110,000 people had attended the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last night, Novi Sad hosted the first SNS rally since the collapse of the railway station canopy on November 1, 2024, which claimed 16 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">United Serbia electoral list leader <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/aleksandar-vucic\/\">Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107<\/a> told his supporters that, following the canopy collapse, \u201csome people from abroad were running the entire show,\u201d attempting to exploit an event of this kind, known as a \u201cblack swan,\u201d to attack Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA lot of money came in from abroad, billions of euros to destroy Serbia. They resent us because we are freedom-loving and independent,\u201d Vu\u010di\u0107 said in his address at the square.
