Ognjen Ra\u0161uo, a member of the Commission for the Audit, Verification and Accuracy and Updating of the Voter Register, said that the number of valid ID cards in Serbia had increased by 235,000 in just over four months.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI asked the police twice for data on the number of valid ID cards. The Ministry of Internal Affairs provided me with two figures \u2013 on May 18, the number was 5,990,000, and on September 28, it was 6,225,000,\u201d Ra\u0161uo wrote on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that he had also asked at a commission meeting whether the figure was accurate and requested that it be checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCould someone in the police have accidentally entered 6,225,000 instead of 6,025,000? Not only have they failed to correct it, but they don\u2019t even see anything suspicious. Everything is fine with them,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ra\u0161uo says there is \u201cabsolutely no rational explanation for such a large increase in the number of ID cards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
