The County Court in Split<\/a>has remanded an Afghan national in pre-trial detention, while his minor brother was placed in a residential facility after they were discovered at Split Airport with forged documents issued in the names of Duke Trpimir and King Ladislaus, Croatian media reported today.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their identity cards immediately raised suspicion among airport officials, and after verification, it turned out that the suspicion was justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The older Afghan was brought before an investigating judge, who ordered him held in pre-trial detention due to the possibility of flight, while his younger brother was placed in the Home for the Education of Children and Youth in Brda, Hina reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was established that the forged identity cards were delivered to the Afghans in Athens, and that they traveled from Greece to Croatia in order to continue on to Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
