A sports event in Zaje\u010dar, attended by children and numerous guests on September 20, concerned parents after<\/strong><\/em> SNS President Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107<\/strong><\/em><\/a>used footage from the event to make a pre-election campaign video in which children also appear. Parents claim they signed consent forms after being told that the photographs and recordings would be used to promote sports, while the Sports Association, the City of Zaje\u010dar and SNS did not respond to questions about whether the parents had been informed in advance about Vu\u010devi\u0107\u2019s presence and the actual purpose of the recordings and photographs, which, according to the article, were used for political purposes.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sports event organized by the Sports Association of the City of Zaje\u010dar, aimed at promoting physical activity and healthy habits, brought together numerous children, parents and citizens at Popova Beach in Zaje\u010dar on Sunday, September 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, to the surprise of many, among the guests was also SNS President and adviser to the President of Serbia for regional affairs, Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was joined by Zaje\u010dar Mayor Vladimir Videnovi\u0107, as well as former basketball players Marko Ke\u0161elj, \u017deljko Rebra\u010da, Jugoslav Petrovi\u0107…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the event ended, a pre-election campaign video appeared on Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107\u2019s official Instagram profile, with children from Zaje\u010dar visible in some of the footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the controversial Instagram video, Vu\u010devi\u0107 takes a shot at goal, while one of the participants, after saving the goal, says, \u201cThis is how we will defend Serbia on October 25.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the video, Vu\u010devi\u0107 and the others ask, \u201cWho is the best?\u201d, and then, together with several children, answer, \u201cSerbia!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the end of the 18th episode of the \u201cWith Milo\u0161 on the Campaign Trail\u201d series, and the beginning of numerous questions from confused and concerned parents who believe their children were politically exploited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did it all begin?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In a statement to Nova, Ivana Mickovi\u0107, the mother of a child from Zaje\u010dar, said that their relative participated in the event as a gymnast, which was why they went to support them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe learned about the event through them, because they were told to bring their brothers and sisters, which is what we did,\u201d Mickovi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nova interviewee added that as soon as they arrived at Popova Beach, they realized what was going on because of the large police and security presence, after which they soon returned home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mickovi\u0107 said that the children received an apology from their coach, but that no explanation was provided by the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
