Talented goalkeeper Veljko Vu\u010deti\u0107, born in 2011, is expected to receive his<\/em><\/strong> Red Star<\/a><\/em><\/strong> kit as early as next week and continue his development in the Serbian champions\u2019 youth academy, Mozzart Sport reports.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is a goalkeeper who in previous years was regarded as one of the more promising players at the Sarajevo Academy, but his time at Ko\u0161evo recently came to an end under highly unusual circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At just 15 years old, Vu\u010deti\u0107 was occasionally given the opportunity to train with Sarajevo\u2019s first team, which says enough about how highly his potential was regarded within the club. Official registration data show that he joined Sarajevo from FK Olimp from Pale at the beginning of 2025, while this season he was a member of their U17 squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His football story at Ko\u0161evo was abruptly cut short at the end of August. The Sarajevo Academy confirmed that Vu\u010deti\u0107 was no longer a member after posts by his father dedicated to Ratko Mladi\u0107<\/a> appeared on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vu\u010deti\u0107\u2019s father posted a photo with the message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you for everything, General.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post sparked numerous reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which Sarajevo very quickly decided to terminate its cooperation with the young goalkeeper. The club then said that there was no place within its organization for the promotion of individuals convicted of war crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An important detail in the entire case is that the controversial post was not written by Veljko, but by his father. Precisely because of this, the decision for the 15-year-old footballer to bear the consequences sparked additional controversy in the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His career should now take a completely new direction. According to information that emerged after his departure from Sarajevo, Vu\u010deti\u0107 will receive his Red Star kit as early as next week and continue working at one of the strongest youth academies in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the red-and-whites, this represents an investment in the future, as this is a goalkeeper who is only now entering his more serious youth years. Vu\u010deti\u0107 has already had experience playing in older age groups and was also part of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s youth national teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red Star traditionally follows the most talented footballers from Serbia and the region very closely, so the young goalkeeper will now have the opportunity to leave the turbulent episode in Sarajevo behind him and focus exclusively on the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At just 15 years old, Vu\u010deti\u0107 already has a story that has gone beyond the boundaries of youth football. According to the latest information, he will write the next chapter in red and white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
