{"id":217902,"date":"2026-09-07T14:02:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T12:02:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=217902"},"modified":"2026-09-07T14:02:03","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T12:02:03","slug":"thousands-of-reports-reach-bosnias-prosecutors-office-citizens-complain-about-posts-and-comments-glorifying-ratko-mladic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/thousands-of-reports-reach-bosnias-prosecutors-office-citizens-complain-about-posts-and-comments-glorifying-ratko-mladic\/","title":{"rendered":"THOUSANDS OF REPORTS REACH BOSNIA\u2019S PROSECUTOR\u2019S OFFICE: Citizens complain about posts and comments glorifying Ratko Mladi\u0107!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/bih\/\">The Prosecutor\u2019s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/a><\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>(BiH) has received several thousand emails from citizens regarding posts and comments on social media and in the media concerning the glorification of Ratko Mladi\u0107, who was convicted in a final judgment of genocide and other war crimes, Deutsche Welle (DW) reported today.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 50,000 reports have been recorded on the civic initiative platform \u201cRegister 145a,\u201d which are forwarded to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office after verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Denis D\u017eidi\u0107, executive director and editor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/balkan\/\">Balkan<\/a> Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) in BiH, told DW that the problem is not a lack of a legal framework, but its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere are a large number of reports concerning the denial of genocide and the glorification of war criminals convicted in final judgments, but there is a very small number of indictments, whose purpose is also to have a deterrent effect,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is judicial practice in BiH regarding the criminal offenses of glorifying war criminals and denying genocide, but the number of indictments and convictions is small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of the glorification of Hague convicts Ratko Mladi\u0107 and Radovan Karad\u017ei\u0107, the <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/tag\/sud\/\">Court<\/a> of BiH previously sentenced Miodrag Mali\u0107 and Vojin Pavlovi\u0107 to prison terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#d21414\" class=\"has-inline-color\">READ MORE: <\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-serbiantimes-info wp-block-embed-serbiantimes-info\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"NlkjzpJJR3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/americki-senatori-traze-distanciranje-od-sahrane-mladica-pozvali-srbiju-i-rs-da-mu-ne-odaju-pocast\/\">AMERI\u010cKI SENATORI TRA\u017dE DISTANCIRANJE OD SAHRANE MLADI\u0106A: Pozvali Srbiju i RS da mu ne odaju po\u010dast!<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
