Following the news that shocked and at the same time inspired all of Serbia and the region about the dramatic fight for the life of an eight-year-old boy whose blood vessel in the brain was blocked, it has been revealed what neuroradiologist Dr. Ivan Vuka\u0161inovi\u0107, whose humanitarian act amazed the public, looks like.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His selfless and extraordinary gesture consisted of canceling his flight to New York without a moment\u2019s hesitation and returning from the airport straight to the operating room to perform an emergency procedure and save the life of his young patient. A statement and details of this incredible intervention were also shared on social media, where the public had the opportunity to learn who was behind this heroic act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An emotional post appeared on the Instagram page \u201cMedicina Novosti\u201d, describing the moment when the doctor put his patient\u2019s life ahead of all his personal and professional plans:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boy was in extremely serious condition due to a blockage of the main blood vessel in his brain, and every minute was crucial. Dr. Vuka\u0161inovi\u0107 canceled his trip without hesitation, returned to the hospital and successfully performed a complicated procedure, saving the boy\u2019s life and preventing permanent consequences.
