More than several thousand citizens of Pale gathered last night at a public rally in Olympic Park to pay tribute to General Ratko Mladi\u0107.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those gathered lit candles and flares, while during the rally they chanted General Mladi\u0107’s name and sang songs dedicated to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering was marked by messages of support for General Mladi\u0107, with chants of \u201cRatko Mladi\u0107,\u201d \u201cMladi\u0107, my problem is yours, because you are a Serbian hero,\u201d as well as lyrics from the song \u201cGeneral, General, may your mother be thanked.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, citizens wanted to preserve the memory of General Mladi\u0107 and pay tribute to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents of Novi Grad also lit candles last night near the central memorial to fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska for the repose of the soul of General Ratko Mladi\u0107, who died at the detention hospital in The Hague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those gathered are also signing the book of condolences, which was opened yesterday by the Novi Grad Veterans’ Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Ratko Mladi\u0107 died on Thursday, August 27, at the detention hospital in The Hague at the age of 84.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
