At a time when many entrepreneurs measure success exclusively by the figures in their bank accounts, the story of Bogoljub Milenovi\u0107, owner of the construction company \u201cLjuba invest\u201d from Para\u0107in, stands as a shining example of true empathy, solidarity, and patriotism.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milenovi\u0107’s story first attracted public attention several years ago, when he decided to reward every employee who had a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although some time has passed since then, his gesture still represents an example of how an employer can show empathy, humanity, and responsibility toward the people who work in his company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As he said at the time, he came up with the idea while thinking about Serbia’s low birth rate. He was aware that money is not the decisive factor when it comes to the decision to expand a family, but also that every bit of help is welcome to parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe support good workers, young people, these are people who are just starting families and who need financial support,\u201d Milenovi\u0107 told RTS several years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Felt That They Valued Me Both as a Worker and as a Person<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The first employee to receive this assistance was Milan Stoiljkovi\u0107, a machine fitter, whose second child had been born. Although the assistance was officially supposed to apply from the following year, Milenovi\u0107 did not want to make a distinction \u2013 an envelope containing \u20ac1,000 arrived for the new addition to the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Milan, that gesture meant much more than the money itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was surprised. I feel really good, comfortable. I felt that they valued me both as a worker and as a person, and in fact I realized that the employer is, above all, a good person,\u201d Stoiljkovi\u0107 told RTS at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is precisely what makes this story special. A thousand euros can be significant assistance to a family when a new baby arrives, but the feeling that an employer recognizes the effort, work, and life circumstances of their employee is difficult to express in money alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milenovi\u0107’s company has been engaged in the production of reinforcing mesh and construction for almost three decades, and the owner considers his employees an extended family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot Everyone Has to Give \u20ac1,000\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Milenovi\u0107 also made it clear that his idea was not that all employers have to set aside the same amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His wish is for the example to encourage others to help employees when they have a child, in accordance with their own means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaybe my gesture will have an effect so that someone hears about it and helps in the same way \u2013 whether it is that amount or more, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we help young people start families, that we have children,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And perhaps his most important message was a simple one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot everyone has to give workers \u20ac1,000. It is enough for everyone to give as much as they can.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that is precisely where the essence of his decision can be seen. It is not just about \u20ac1,000, but about the message that assistance carries \u2013 that the arrival of a child into the world is something to celebrate, that an employee’s family is not unimportant, and that a good employer does not measure an employee only by the work they perform, but also as a human being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
