Serbia’s national shooting team continued its impressive medal run at the European Championship<\/strong> for junior men and women in Wroc\u0142aw<\/strong>, adding another podium finish after its success in the air rifle and air pistol events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the sixth day of the competition, Serbia’s women’s team claimed the bronze medal<\/strong> in the 50-meter three-position small-bore rifle<\/strong> event. The medal-winning team consisted of Emilija Ponjavi\u0107, Natalija Pavlovi\u0107, and Marija Stankovi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bronze marked Serbia’s 13th medal<\/strong> at the European Championships in Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Serbian shooters delivered consistently strong performances, with Emilija Ponjavi\u0107<\/strong>, the only senior athlete on the team, making the biggest contribution. She finished 15th<\/strong> individually with 581 points<\/strong>. Ponjavi\u0107 was in contention for a place in the final until the closing stages of qualification, but a couple of weaker shots in the final standing position dropped her below the top eight. She finished just three points<\/strong> short of qualifying for the medal round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalija Pavlovi\u0107<\/strong> placed 18th<\/strong> with 580 points<\/strong>, while Marija Stankovi\u0107<\/strong> finished 21st<\/strong> with 579 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the team standings, Serbia totaled 1,740 points<\/strong>, finishing just three points behind silver medalists Poland<\/strong>. The Czech Republic<\/strong> captured the gold medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serbia’s men’s team narrowly missed the podium in the three-position rifle event, finishing fourth<\/strong>. Bronze medalists Poland<\/strong> edged the Serbian trio by five points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individually, \u0110or\u0111e Savi\u0107<\/strong> placed 19th<\/strong>, Stefan Agovi\u0107<\/strong> finished 21st<\/strong>, and Aleksa Rakonjac<\/strong> came in 23rd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Serbian shooters will conclude their participation at the European Championships on Sunday with the mixed pairs (“Duet”) three-position small-bore rifle<\/strong> competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
