Serbian judoka Mina Ga\u010di\u0107, a member of Crvena zvezda, won the gold medal at the Junior European Cup held this weekend in the Hungarian city of Paks. In the under-52 kg category, Ga\u010di\u0107 defeated Rima Burihane of Canada 2-0 (two yuko) in the final after four minutes of competition, bringing Serbia its most valuable medal at the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the first day of the competition, Marko Jorgi\u0107 and Veljko Simi\u0107 won bronze medals in the under-66 kg category. On the second day, in addition to Ga\u010di\u0107’s gold, Natalija Proli\u0107 of Partizan Belgrade claimed silver in the under-48 kg category. Proli\u0107 was defeated in the final by Russia’s Sofia Zakharova, who won by ippon after 3:59 minutes of competition, after the Serbian representative had previously recorded two victories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
